Seven of my siblings and I went ice-skating last night with some friends. There were probably twice as many people there as last time (public skating session), which just meant skating around more people.
I experienced my first crash while ice-skating. 'Twasn't as painful as I'd anticipated, but I have a habit of always being perfectly still while I think about if I'm hurt or not when I crash which worries my siblings unnecessarily. I probably wouldn't have crashed at all, but I started a tag game between most of my siblings, so I was a little more daring in my escape attempts which resulted in two crashes, actually. But, that tag game was fun! Definitely on the list to do next time, too.
We also attempted the Posties Jig (a contra dance) on ice and if I do say so myself, we were highly successful. :-) The first time, we did it with four imaginary people and just eliminated the "turn with your posts" part and then at the very end of the skating session, we did it again with four people who have never danced it before. That was very successful too! We also danced/skated The Soldiers Joy and took two videos.
All in all, I think the evening was rated very fun and we want to go skating again asap. :-D
